Dr Sophie Taysom, Founder of Keyah Consulting, has been accepted onto the EU Mission Adaptation Community Roster of Experts.
The Roster is a pool of technical and thematic experts who support the EU Mission on Adaptation to Climate Change. It connects experts with regional and local authorities, Mission projects and the wider Mission community. Users can search it by theme, geography and language, which makes it easier to find the right expertise for technical advice, knowledge exchange and collaboration.
Its purpose is to help the Mission move from planning to implementation. That is where much of the hard work in adaptation sits.
Sophie brings expertise in physical climate risk, insurance markets and real asset finance. Her work focuses on a question many regions face as they adapt: how to make resilience visible enough that markets can price it, lenders can finance it and insurers can reward it.
“Adaptation plans succeed or fail on whether someone can pay for them,” says Sophie. “Insurance and finance are often where that question gets answered. I’m glad to be part of a network focused on getting adaptation from plan to delivery.”
Regional and local authorities, Mission projects and others in the Mission community can find Sophie through the Roster, or contact her directly at sophie@keyahconsulting.com.
